Bella had been at the Eddy Ranch in a pipe stall since June 25.
The plan was to put her in a vacant barn stall (with paddock), but the condition of the stall
was poor. Bella has a vice--wood eating--so we also needed to fix the barn to make it
unappealing to her taste.

Finally, the end of October, the Eddy's fixed the outside barn walls--put up new boards
and patched big holes--as well as fixing a big hole in the inside manger and installing a metal strip across
the top of the inside barn door. It had been several months since I had put down 5 cubic yards of
base rock, covered with at least a dozen bags of CedaRest and then many stall mats on top of that
to compress it.

After the barn walls and other improvements were made, it was only a day or two later
that I painted the new wood, and then that night, moved Bella into her new stall in the barn.
