Interview with Patrick Moraz
From: Martin Bartosik [mbartosik_eas@zsnp.sk] - Jan. 26I've found this can be interesting for the list. Check the URL: http://www.eufonia.net/html/interview__patrick_moraz.html
I've cutted just one point:
Question : How come that you played only in one album? Was there a particular reason for you to depart from Yes? Did you want to pursue your solo career?
PM: We all did solo albums in 76. By the end of the tour in 76 when we went back to Switzerland, which is my own homecountry, to record what was going to become "Going For The One". Although there might have been a few musical differences because everybody has that, I didn't have intentions of really leaving the band. I think the story goes much deeper than this. There was a lot of political and management manouvers behind the scenes that I was not really aware of. I think that's what contributed to the fact that I was kind of asked to leave the band at the time.
Any idea why they replaced Patrick? I would really like to read something about the topic, even a pure speculation ;-)

12 inches on tape

> I was just on CdNow.com and they have a cd by Yes called "12 Inches On Tape." No information on the site. Any one know anything about it??\- this is a cassette tape with techno-style remixes of "leave it" and "owner". as far as i remember, it has 2 tracks (the same tracks) on each side. the "leave it" remix is the "hello good-bye" mix and the "owner" remix is the "red and blue" mix.
- if you only had to hear these once in your life, it would be plenty. back in the 80s when this came out, i happened to have it in the car with me when i drove from lancaster ohio to roanoke virginia - about a 7 hour drive. i had no radio and no other cassettes, so i listened to "12 inches on tape" the whole way, flipping it over and over again and again. i now become physically nauseated even thinking about these remixes... they are dreadfully bad even for a short listen. if I haven't dynamited my copy of the tape by now, i'll mail it to you.
- also, i think the double boot cd "big generator show and rare tracks" has these tracks at the end of the second cd.
