Wakey on TV today - Reviewed
For those that were wondering, the feature started with Rick at the piano and went on to one of the many variations of the Morning Has Broken anecdote (but surely that wasn't the famous key change we saw on camera?!) before Aled Jones needlessly voiced over the piano intro as the whole piece was played with Rick accompanied an excellent 11 year old girl singer and an unfortunately not so excellent choir of other youngsters who in my opinion trashed it.

More midi files
For those interested, I have added a few midi files to the collection at http://home.maine.rr.com/abajoran/midis.htm
From: Bruce [epeters2@maine.rr.com] - Nov. 18The latest include 5 from Lisztomania, and of probably greater interest something from Return...
They are all what I would call works in progress but nice in their own way. Of course, if anyone has the time and skills, fell free to download and make modifications, etc... of course, you can send me the results.
Merci Beaucoup to Bruno for his work on this.

Yes, since yesterday http://www.classic-rockclips.com/ has appeared. For $9.98 you buy a "ticket" to view a video online. Ideally you need broadband for it to get the quality. It is a one-off thing. You can stop the video and go back another time to see the rest of it but you only get to see it once.
Instead of throwing $$ away...go here http://www.ajato.com.br/ then select AJATO TV from the top bar. Then SHOWS from the TV on the left side. Then scroll down and watch the video for FREE. It is the April 19th show in Sao Paulo.
Wakeman wins AGAIN!
For the third year in a row, a Rick Wakeman album has won the Music Street Journal's annual year's best poll. They finally released the results of the 2000 poll, just in time to solicit responses for 2001.
From: Ray Riethmeier [Ray.Riethmeier@westgroup.com] - Nov. 30Please check out http://www.musicstreetjournal.com/poll11.html to see that PRELUDES TO A CENTURY was the clear winner. Thanks to everyone who voted for Rick!
Now we can also help him win a fourth time by entering the poll for the best of 2001. I'll be putting OUT OF THE BLUE down as my Wakeman selection!
Please go here and enter your choices:
