Sender: owner-yes@YesWorld.com

"YES - BUT WHAT DOES IT MEAN?" LIMITED OFFER

For anyone who is interested in the Yes book, "Yes - But What Does It Mean? Exploring The Music of Yes," written by Thomas J. Mosbø, there are still some copies available for sale for those who would like to purchase this unique collector's item.

For a limited time (from now until the end of December 2001, while supplies last), the Yes book and "The Messenger Of Hope" art print will be on offer at a discounted price from what has been asked (£6less for those living outside the UK, and £5 less for those in the UK). After this time, if any books are still remaining, the increased price will once again resume. This is being done to give the fans one last fair chance to own an original copy of this extremely rare publication to coincide with the release of the new Yes CD, "Magnification".

"Yes - But What Does It Mean?" has received very high praise from many Yes supporters, and Jon Anderson has personally endorsed it, saying that, "It hits the nail right on the head", as well as Roger Dean, commenting that, "Yes deserves to have a book like this written about them."

The book is a high quality paperback, 342 pages long. It was privately published in 1994, so it is not current on any Yes music released after that time. The book offers a very plausible way of viewing Yes' musical structure and lyrical content focusing on the band's "classic" years. It has one black and white photo of the band (a UNION group shot) on the book's back cover, plus there is a color painting on the front cover (which depicts Jon Anderson with his harp), but there are no other pictures contained within the text of the book.

The painting featured on the book's cover is available as a 16" x 20"signed and numbered limited edition art print, titled: "The Messenger of Hope" (which is taken from an original oil work by the author's wife, Coral J. F. Mosbø). The Yes book can be purchased separately from the art print.

All prices below include shipping and handling.

CD Universe Magnification Review
From Carlos Benavides [danisol@chavin.rcp.net.pe] - Nov. 29

Following is a Magnification review made by a fan that appears in CDUniverse:

this has got to be yes's most highly anticipated album yet...and rightly so! it is honestly the BEST yes album i've yet to hear (and i've heard and own them all). every song on "magnification" evokes a sense of light, love, and positive feelings -- things for which only a band like yes are most noted! I have played this release at least twice each day since i've received it -- trust me, folks......it is indeed THAT good! i do believe that if you consider yourself a TRUE yes fan, then you will RUN to your nearest music store and buy this album! even if, like me, you were skeptical at first that yes and an orchestra simply would not gel (ala the moody blues -- a prime example).....i simply could not have been more wrong on this one! hell, I don't even miss the keyboardist -- everything just blends so well together.jon and the boys' harmonies are right on the mark, as usual, but the layering effect they now use doesn't mask the message being presented with overkill. and the music...goodness gracious!!! even after all the various directions that yes-members have attempted in the past, steve howe has never sounded better and stronger, especially his pedal steel guitar work. chris squire's booming bass, along with alan white's top-of-the-line drumming is simply PERFECT! that's the best word i can honestly use to describe this entire album -- PERFECT! i cannot imagine how yes get better and better with each new release, but they have surely done it with this one! GO GET IT NOW!!!!!!!!!! you will NOT be disappointed. trust me!
