"Buster"

This smart gelding has it all - breeding, looks and potential. These photos were taken on February 20, 2009. My trainer's assistant (Marcie) was riding him today, showing off his nice trot, lope and stop.

Buster is quiet, sweet natured and has kind eyes and a good mind. He has a very smooth, "floaty" trot and a gentle lope. He has good feet and has never been shod.

"Buster" has been in professional training with M.G. Brown in Morgan Hill since Januaray 1, 2009. He's been ridden almost daily and is doing very well. He leads well, stands tied quietly, trailers calmly, and picks up his feet. He's ready to go on to the next level.	He comes from a long line of cutting and reined cowhorse champions-Colonel Freckles, Dry Doc, Doc's Solano, Doc's Lynx, Plumb Dry, King Fritz, Hollywood Gold, Mr Gun Smoke and many, many others.

	The photos above, below and at left were taken in June and July 2008 when he was a mere two year old, but shows you what a beautiful, healthy coat he has. Picture this horse wearing lots of silver in a Western Pleasure or Trail class Or with all his cow-bred pedigree, he is a prospect for team penning or sorting ... what fun!!

History: I bought Buster's dam on August 20, 2005. We had all pre-purchase tests done except for the repro because I did not plan to breed her. Turned out she was pregnant by a long-yearling stud colt that she was turned out with for about a month in the spring. Ruby dropped her foal on Feb 24, 2006. He was weaned in August 2006 and lived in Ruby's trainer's home pasture until March 31, 2008 when he went down to the trainer's for 60 days of basic training. I had him "home" at the boarding stable with my other 3 horses until January 1, 2009, when it was time to get him going under saddle. It has never been my intention to keep him; I already have too many horses (31 year old Mikey, 11 year old Ruby and 8 year old Bella).
