 Fountain Paint Pots Trail

A boardwalk trail took us around the mud pots, spouters, pools and geysers in this fragile area.

Minerals and algae for beautiful patterns
at the edge of Silex Spring
Fountain paint pots - boiling water rises through
the mud and forms multi-colored cones.

A fumerole boiled continuously next to "Red Spouter".
Clepsydra Geyser has been erupting continuously
since a nearby earthquake in 1957.
