2 years & 3 months old
Boulder Creek, CA

Our two year old leaves the only home he's ever known (with Billy Martin) and trailers back with us to Boulder Creek.
We were prepared for resistance getting into the trailer and Billy put a lariat "butt rope" on him, but Buster just followed
Billy right into the trailer and stood still while being tied and didn't object to the divider pushing him into the little space in his slot
at the front of the slant-load trailer. His traveling companion was his dam, Ruby. They had a quiet trip for just over an hour.
When we arrived at the Eddy Ranch in Boulder Creek, again, we didn't know how well Buster would unload, but he came out
calmly and quietly, and was willingly led right into the round pen. Here's the first pictures as he takes a look around:

What's that?

What's that over there?

Mikey is the old horse in the background, oblivious to the newcomer because he's focused on his PonyPop.

When Buster was a weanling, he was turned out with a buckskin filly ... Buster shows a lot of interest in Shelly's mare, Darla, and called to her a few times.

Satisfied that things seemed kinda normal around here, Buster dropped for a quick roll ...

...and shakes off the dust.

One of the kids started to ride her pony around the outside of the round pen, and Buster got stirred up, wanting to play

Playfullness

There was a quick burst of speed, followed by a real nice abrupt stop and rollback on the fence, then a little lope in the opposite direction.

Well, that's enough photography for today. We'd better not let him get too excited.
