Jessica has been working with Buster on some basic ground work. She showed me how he's picking up his feet, lowering his head to be haltered and will back up and come forward. I didn't photograph the whole session, so only some of these things are on this page. After her session with Buster, he self-exercised in the round pen a little bit.

Then I brought out Ruby (Buster's dam) and lunged her because we have a cutting lesson later this afternoon and she needs to get some energy out.

Buster appears to be a giant in these photos, but he's only about 15 HH; Jessica's about 5'3"

Buster's a curious guy. He spots the halter/lead rope laying on the ground and walks right over to check it out.

I really like his stops and turns.

That's enough of a lesson for Buster.

Mikey and Bella are busy with their Pony Pops and oblivious to the action in the round pen.

After giving Buster a good grooming, he went back to his stall and I got Ruby out to work out some of her energy before hauling her down to Billy's for a lesson on the mechanical cow.

Buster's dam, Ruby.
