Wendy grabbed this photo of me,
getting Mikey warmed up in the pasture
out in front of the camp Sunday morning.

Here's the riders getting ready for the second day of the cattledrive.

Sean on Conan and Michael on Abby watch Lynn check Tuffit's tack for Shannon.

Mikey and I push the cows from the rear, making sure none of them turns around to head back into pasture.

A couple of real cowboys pushing the cows toward a gate.

After getting the cattle into the arena, the cowboys sorted the calves out and then 3-person teams took turn roping the calves so that they could be innoculated and branded. The lady with the hat approaching the calf administered the shots.

The calf has to be held motionless while being branded.

The ranch owner, Joyce Veira, videotapes the kids trying to bring the smallest of the calves down. That's Sean Reed at the head.

Next to the cattle is a pen holding a palamino mare and her 3-day old foal who didn't show any fear as we approached.

The mare and her foal.

Lynn uses her extensive expertise to coax a reluctant and troublesome gelding (Mikey) into the trailer for the ride home.

After a few minutes, Mikey walks right into the trailer.

Lynn supervises as Amigo is loaded into his trailer.

Home at last, Mikey relaxes by rolling in the sand.
