In 1920, the record price of Cyllene was broken by Don Felix de Alzaga Unzue (Haras los Polvorines, Arg). He paid Mr. August Belmont 53,000 guineas for the St. Leger, St. James Palace and Dual Eclipse Stakes winner Tracery (Rock Sand). After a short stay, however, he already left a strong mark. Tracery was sold to England. |
